The Intact Foundation is an integral part of our generosity value. Generosity — helping others, protecting the environment and making our communities more resilient — is one of the values that guides our work. We focus our generosity to help our communities in three areas where we can have the biggest impact:
Municipal Climate Resiliency Grants: Intact Public Entities and the Intact Foundation launched the Municipal Climate Resiliency Grant to help municipalities adapt to climate change and keep people safe. The program focuses on projects that increase community resiliency to flood and wildfire risks. Read more about the 2022 grant partners.
Intact Adaptation Action Grants: Through this program, the Intact Foundation is helping communities adapt to the effects of climate change and protect people from floods, wildfires and extreme heat. Our charitable partners are exploring real, concrete solutions to make our communities, our people and our economy more resilient. The Intact Adaptation Action Grants application period is currently closed.
During annual Generosity in Action campaign, the Intact Foundation matches employees’ donations and directs that match to United Way programs providing essential support to the most vulnerable members of our communities, including families and children living in poverty. The Intact Foundation has also partnered with Windmill Microlending to help skilled immigrants and refugees restart their careers in Canada.
Through our Community Impact program, the Intact Foundation matches employees’ charitable donations dollar-for-dollar and donates $20 for every hour volunteered, to a maximum of $1,000 per employee per year.
